Sixteen-year-old Daniel Byers is a pallbearer at the funeral of a classmate pulled from the lake outside Beldon, Wisconsin. Then he starts seeing her. The visions — blurs — are vivid, arrive without warning, and keep pointing him at details the police ruled irrelevant. Daniel has to work out whether he is unwell or being shown something true.
