The Night Circus

The circus arrives without warning. There are no announcements; it is simply there, where yesterday it was not, and it opens only at night. Le Cirque des Rêves is black and white throughout, and everything inside it is more remarkable than it should be.

Behind the tents a competition is being played out between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, trained from childhood for this by instructors who have not explained the rules. Neither of them knows that only one is meant to walk away, and by the time they find out they are in love.
